What is a Cuvée?

The word Cuvée comes from the French language and refers to a wine that consists of several parts.

Most often, two to three varieties are combined. It can be created by processing different grape varieties together, or by combining mash, must varieties, or even by blending already finished wines (this is how our GRAND CUVÉE was created).

The aim of mixing the cuvée is to achieve a new structure and harmony thereby increasing the quality of the wine itself. Each variety is characterised by a specific excess or deficiency of acids, sugars, extract or aroma. In this way, the sensory properties of the resulting wine can be balanced.

OUR GRAND CUVÉE will win you over with its delicate spiciness, the aroma of blooming roses typical of the Gewürztraminer variety and the delicate spiciness and juiciness of the ripe acid of the Grüner Veltliner variety.
